Toxins in plastics leach into contents

Researchers have found that a plastic component, bisphenol A (BPH), leaches into water stored in polycarbonate bottles. Even in small amounts BPH acts like estrogen in the body, potentially triggering hormonal changes linked to early puberty and breast and prostate cancers. For less danger, look for the numbers 2 and 4 on the bottom and keep bottles from hot spots. Do not microwave the contents.
